Joe Barnes joined Hamilton Engineering Inc. ("HEI") in 2007 as its drilling fluids manager. Prior to his career with HEI, he worked for Triton Engineering, Chromally Drilling Fluids, and Milchem Inc. where some of his jobs have included Drilling Fluids Manager, Manager of Product Development and Evaluation, and Regional Operations Manager. In his current role at HEI, Joe focuses on drilling fluids project management and oversight plus management of all Hamilton drilling fluids field engineers. Joe is experienced in cost estimation, mud program design and implementation, equipment and material procurement and solids control with specialties in all water based and invert emulsion systems. Joe is experienced with most onshore, offshore and deepwater depositional environments.

Joe began his career in Houston with Milchem Inc. in 1971 after graduating from Louisiana State University with a BS degree in Mathematics.

While at HEI, Joe has led and/or supported projects for Nippon USA, Baker Hughes, and Fairways Offshore, among many others.
