| Jerry Wetzel joined Petroleum Engineers Inc ("PEI") in 2003 as a petroleum engineer. Prior to his career with PEI, he worked for Badger Oil Corporation and Marathon Oil Company where some of his jobs have included Operations Engineer and Consulting Engineer. In his current role at PEI, Jerry focuses on well construction from initial design through completion and hookup, remedial well work, production engineering surveillance and reservoir engineering with specialties in directional drilling design, nodal analysis, pressure transient analysis, decline curve analysis and project economics. Jerry is especially experienced in gulf coast and Gulf of Mexico environments.
Jerry began his career with Marathon Oil Company in Lafayette, Louisiana after graduating from University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1988 with a BS degree in Petroleum Engineering. Jerry is a member of SPE and API.
While at PEI, Jerry has led and/or supported projects for Key Exploration among many others. |
